L’Union des Ivoiriens de New York (UINY) is a non-profit organization in the State of New York.  It aims to gather all Ivorians in New York and strengthen the bonds among each other through socio-cultural events and development of partnerships with other unions or associations.

To achieve its objectives, UINY needed a unified web portal for its officers and members to gather information and news about the organization, its current endeavors and future projects. The organization wanted a website that is light, secure, media-oriented and easy to maintain (with no web programming knowledge).

This new website meets all the mentioned requirements.

- It is light enough that it can easily load on a dial-up speed internet connection.
- It uses WordPress as its back-end platform because it is an active, open-source web platform that is regularly updated by the community.
- The website is responsive and is easily viewable using any web browsing platform (e.g. desktop, mobile, tablet) without the need to use third-party softwares (e.g. Adobe Flash).
- Its simplified back-end options makes editing contents a breeze.
